Kronik a\u011fr\u0131, bir\u00e7ok insan i\u00e7in hem bedensel hem de ruhsal a\u00e7\u0131dan derin bir y\u00fck olu\u015fturmaktad\u0131r. Kapsaml\u0131 t\u0131bbi incelemeler yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015f olsa ya da organik bulgular \u015fik\u00e2yetlerin \u015fiddetini yeterince a\u00e7\u0131klayamasa bile, a\u011fr\u0131lar ger\u00e7ektir, y\u0131prat\u0131c\u0131d\u0131r ve g\u00fcnl\u00fck ya\u015fam\u0131 belirleyici nitelik ta\u015f\u0131r. Somatoform ve kronik a\u011fr\u0131lar\u0131 olan hastalara y\u00f6nelik psikoterapi g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015fmesi, uzun s\u00fcredir devam eden a\u011fr\u0131 sendromlar\u0131ndan muzdarip olan ve bu \u015fik\u00e2yetlerle ba\u015fa \u00e7\u0131kabilmek i\u00e7in psikoterap\u00f6tik destek arayan ki\u015filere y\u00f6neliktir.<\/p>\n

Bir\u00e7ok hasta, kronik a\u011fr\u0131n\u0131n seyri s\u0131ras\u0131nda giderek artan bir t\u00fckenmi\u015flik, \u00e7aresizlik ve i\u00e7sel gerginlik ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 bildirir. Buna s\u0131kl\u0131kla depresif duygu durumlar\u0131, kayg\u0131lar, uyku bozukluklar\u0131 ya da kendini tamamen duruma teslim olmu\u015f hissetme e\u015flik eder. Ki\u015fi kendi bedenini \u00e7o\u011fu zaman \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fclemez, yabanc\u0131 ya da tehdit edici olarak alg\u0131lar.
